RDT Competitive Teams
Raleigh Dance and Tumble has competitive teams for dancers who are ready to take their love of dance to the next level. On these teams dancers are able to build even stronger dedication, discipline, and values of teamwork. These competitive teams are by teacher recommendation.
STARBURST
Kindergarten-2nd Grade
Dancers will be required to take ballet, jazz, tap, and lyrical with option to add hip hop and acro. Dancers will compete in jazz, tap, and lyrical.
SHOOTING STARS
3rd-6th Grade
Dancers will be required to take ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop with the option to add acro. Dancers will compete in jazz, lyrical, tap, and hip hop.
RDT2
7th-9th Grade
Dancers will be required to take ballet, jazz, and lyrical weekly with the option to add acro. Dancers will have one required weekend a month to learn choreography for their competitive dances. Dancers will compete in jazz, lyrical (will learn dance during weekly class time), hip hop, contemporary, and musical theater.
Competitive team dancers will also be given the opportunity to compete their solo. Solos will be competed at the team competitions.
